Fantastic Chalet with great owners. Unfortunately we found it not the cleanest with bathrooms smelling, spa pool dirty which we only used twice and items from summer such as swimming googles and inflatables were still out as if it hadn’t been cleaned. We also thought there should have had salt for oaths to prevent injuries and slipping. And unfortunately the pool which was our main reason for booking was out of action while we were there, had we known we would have no pool we wouldn’t have booked as you pay a premium for the pool. The place is great in a fantastic spot and the owners very responsive and good to deal with but the cleaners had not done a deep clean prior to arrival and the spa certainly was not emptied and refilled. Normally when arriving at top chalets you expect them to smell clean and be spotless.

We had an incredible week at the Alpine Retreat. We found it the perfect base for our family of 6. With 4 young children, we loved being able to have most meals at home and the owner helped us find a wonderful chef to help us. The pool and hot tub, both with stunning views, were a huge hit after a day of hiking. The kids loved the little swing and the living spaces were comfortable for all. It is difficult to imagine a better place to spend a vacation.  We where skiing and it was an easy 10 mins to Ardent (avoiding queues to Avoriaz) or 10 mins walk to the Super Morzine lift. On coming back, the Jacuzzi  helped take away minor pains while looking at what is probably the best view over the valley.

There is plenty of space in the chalet for socializing, ideal for talking about adventures past and present. The only problem I could find is that there is no need to go out, everything you need is there.  The center of Morzine is a stones throw away for a host of restaurants, shops and apre-ski for those inclined.

Fabulous chalet in a wonderful location - bathed in sunshine every afternoon meant that post skiing we had a brilliant time relaxing in the jacuzzi in the sunshine! Morzine/Avoriaz offer such a wealth of skiing as well. Great week.

We love this place! Our third time staying at Alpine Retreat and whether it’s Summer or Winter the chalet never disappoints.  The kids love the pool and exploring the garden/terrace , plenty of hiding places.  In the jacuzzi you feel like you are looking down on the mountains - must be one of the best views in Morzine.  Well located for morzine and montriond - we’ve done the walk with a 3 yr old several times.  Beds are super comfy. Fast internet, satellite TV. We enjoyed a wonderful family skiing holiday in Alpine Retreat. This luxury chalet and its location has to be one of the best in Morzine with stunning, open views from from all of it's south facing terraces. An easy downhill walk passing traditional chalets took us to a suspended footbridge over the river into bustling Morzine with all its facilities.
The children had endless fun playing in the stream, woodland and hot tub!
Alpine Retreat is certainly a luxurious all round destination and we cannot wait to return!
